Conventional powder metallurgy

We specialise in providing heat and thermo-chemical treatment services, i.e. ion nitriding, which we carry out using a JONIMP 900/500 machine. Ion nitriding is a modern process used to increase the surface hardness of steel. The technology is used in many areas of the economy, including the automotive, aerospace and energy industries, for structural and tool components exposed to abrasive wear and corrosion during operation. We also have at our disposal, a two-chamber vacuum furnace RVFOQ-224 with heating chamber dimensions of 600x400x280 mm, enabling bright heating of the charge to 1200°C and quenching without contact with air, with the possibility of cooling in nitrogen or oil. Our staff have many years of experience in these areas and are committed to earning the trust of our customers.

Conventional powder metallurgy – our offer:

  • the manufacture of sintered products using classic powder metallurgy technology by means of one-step cold pressing and sintering,
  • the manufacture of metal powder products using powder forging, i.e. the production of sintered products in two pressing operations, which allows greater dimensional accuracy and a high density of sintered products with good mechanical properties,
  • the manufacture of modified metal products in order to improve the mechanical properties of sintered parts, combining conventional powder metallurgy with plastic, heat and/or thermo-chemical treatment,
  • research into the selection of powder mixtures, the development of shaping technologies and the sintering of powder-based parts.
We will prepare for you:

technological process

construction documentation of tools

pilot series of new parts

We provide finishing services, i.e. grinding, polishing, deburring, edge blunting, deburring and descaling, as well as cleaning, smoothing and rounding edges using vibratory machining and a Rösler EURO R 125 equipment.

Advantages of choosing powder metallurgy techniques:
  • the possibility of obtaining complex shapes of manufactured products at a relatively low production cost due to the elimination of material losses (as in the case of chip machining) while maintaining high efficiency of manufacturing processes, which leads to lower energy consumption costs,
  • sintered materials are characterised by high precision, purity, good homogenisation of the material throughout the whole volume of the manufactured part and the possibility of serial production.
Write to us, if:
  • you need a personalised powder metallurgy service,
  • you want expert assistance in powder metallurgy or surface treatment,
  • you are interested in processes such as sintering of metal powders, cold pressing, heat treatment, thermo-chemical treatment.
