Description:
The technology relates to a side support of a machine for renovation work in drainage ditches and ditch care and maintenance works.
The support has a body, the lower part of which is pivotally connected to the main frame, while the upper part is pivotally connected to the swing angle change actuator. The other side of the actuator is attached, also pivotally, to the other side of the main frame.
At the same time, an extendable segment is fitted in a longitudinal, through-hole in the main frame, connected to the main frame by an actuator for changing the support length (extension).
The design of the side support ensures that the non-driven caster wheels can be repositioned by fitting them into the control arm arms, enabling the caster to overcome bumps and small obstacles in a stable manner. In the event of larger obstacles or unevenness, it is possible to change the track of the support wheels.
Benefits:
- improved stability when working on the ditch bottom, on the slope and on the bank
- possibility to move the machine in and out of the ditch by oneself
- possibility to move the machine on access roads to the ditch
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.222632 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 19 November 2012.
The property rights to the invention are vested in 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
