Description:
The technology relates to a self-propelled automatic tree-planting machine, especially on post-agricultural and reclaimed land.
The chassis of the automatic machine consists of a frame with an active running gear, while the tree-planting work unit with a tree planting bar and the automated seedling storage and collection unit are attached to it.
The active running gear consists of four swiveling wheels, where each wheel is attached to the frame by four double control arms. In addition, each wheel has its own drive, steering actuator and lifting actuator.
The automated seedling storage and collection unit consists of a seedling storage, a manipulator unit, a buffer storage and a storage for empty seedling cassettes.
The automatic machine uses hydraulic, pneumatic and electric drives at the various locations. The use of a GPS receiver allows full automation of the process of planting seedlings.
Benefits:
- Possibility of planting trees on reclaimed forest and post-agricultural land, including sloping areas,
- High capacity to overcome high obstacles,
- Can be used for both deciduous and coniferous tree planting and alternate planting of trees of different species,
- Possibility to fully automate the planting process, thus reducing human involvement to a minimum.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of a patent application to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland registered under No. P.439797 of 9 December 2021.
Property rights to the invention are vested in: Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology and Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture Kraków.
