Invention entitled ‘Manipulator gripper assembly, especially of the seedling collection system of the mobile tree planting machine’ (P.440312)
Description:
The technology relates to the gripper assembly of a manipulator, particularly of the seedling retrieval system of a mobile tree planting machine, applicable to the process of planting trees with a covered root system.
The assembly is built from interconnected support plates with running rails and at least five grippers attached to them.
Grippers are mounted in two rows – the central gripper is fixed to the support plates, while the other grippers have the ability to move relative to the central gripper through the running plates. The movement is carried out with the help of an actuator, such as a pneumatic one.
The use of lightweight components and actuators ensures high dynamics of movements, and thus high efficiency of work.
Benefits:
- possibility to pick up tree seedlings from different cassettes placed in positioning slots,
- possibility of picking up an entire row of seedlings from a given cassette,
- high dynamics of movements and thus high productivity of the assembly,
- relatively small assembly size.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of a patent application to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland registered under No. P.440312 of 7 February 2022.
Property rights to the invention are held by: Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznan Institute of Technology and the Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture in Krakow.
