Invention entitled ‘Drive assembly of a tracked vehicle, especially for a vehicle operating in the wetlands of national parks’ (Pat.230427/P.409527)
Description:
The invention is a tracked vehicle drive assembly, especially for a vehicle operating in the wetlands of national parks. One of the most important components of the vehicle is its tread system, which determines, on the one hand, the ability to move efficiently in very difficult terrain, and, on the other hand, its mode of operation determines whether it adequately protects the environment or causes its devastation.
The catepillar assembly consists of a frame, which is attached to the crossover of the base vehicle via a yoke. A planetary gearbox flange is attached to the yoke, along with a hydraulic motor. The active shaft of the gearbox is connected to the motor shaft via a dog clutch. A drive wheel is mounted on the gearbox body, transferring the drive to the track belt assembly with grousers. The frame of the track assembly is supported pendulously on a bogie.
The purpose of the invention is to significantly reduce the adverse effects of caterpillar components on the ground, especially on water-soaked peatlands.
Benefits:
- easy transport in muddy terrain,
- reduced damage to the soil of the muddy area.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.230427 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 17 September 2014.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
