Invention entitled ‘Crop seed dispenser’ (P.443783)

Description:

The object of the invention is a seed dispenser for singulating seeds of cultivated plants, applicable to precision agricultural and horticultural seed drills.

The role of seed dispensers used in precision agricultural and horticultural seed drills is to singulate seeds and place them in the seed groove formed by the coulter at preset distances from each other, and sometimes in a manner correlated with the distribution of seeds in adjacent rows.

Within the framework of the developed invention, the technology is devoid of the disadvantages typical of commercially available solutions, such as the necessity of disassembling most of the dispenser’s components in order to clean it of seed residue and dirt.

Benefits:

  • designed for use in precision agricultural and horticultural seed drills,
  • an overpressure-type dispenser,
  • the dispenser is equipped with a scraper and a roller to clean the seed holes,
  • the device ensures precise and reliable seed sowing.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of a patent application to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland registered under No. P.443783 of 14 February 2023.

Property rights to the invention are vested in: Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology and Akpil Ltd.
