Electrical testing of rail vehicles

We carry out electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests and magnetic field measurements in the railway environment in accordance with the applicable standards for rail vehicles. Our offer includes comprehensive testing of electrical systems, including measurements of resistance and reactance of wheelsets. We also specialise in the analysis of propulsion systems, electric traction and energy consumption tests. We provide diagnostics in line with certification requirements, allowing for the safe and efficient operation of rail vehicles. We support customers in meeting electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety standards.

ACCREDITED TESTING

Electrical testing of rail vehicles – our offer:

Electromagnetic compatibility tests are carried out by conducting measurements of disturbances radiated by the object to the environment in the range from 9 kHz to 1 GHz and measurements of disturbances conducted in on-board networks in the range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz.

Measurements are carried out in accordance with EN 50121-2, EN 50121-3-1 and EN 50121-3-2.

Measurements of magnetic fields in the railway environment are carried out inside and outside railway and urban rail vehicles (trams and trolleybuses).

Measurements are performed in accordance with EN 50500.

Wheelset resistance and reactance tests (based on Commission Regulation (EU) 2013/1695). They are performed for rail vehicles by determining DC resistance and AC reactance with frequencies from 500 Hz to 40 kHz.

Our research reports are recognised in all signatory countries of the ILAC MRA Multilateral Mutual Recognition Agreement.
