Szymon Szkudelski, Ph.D Eng.

In 2010, he completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Poznań University of Technology. In 2020, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Wrocław University of Technology. He has been working at the Institute since 2010.

He specialises in metal forming technologies, particularly volume forming, including forging, pressing, extrusion and rolling. As part of a comprehensive approach to meeting clients’ needs in manufacturing technologies, he also deals with machining, heat treatment and production automation. He has designed and implemented several dozen sets of forging tools, dies, special-purpose fixtures and testing equipment. He has also participated in the design and implementation of entire production lines at industrial partners. He is the co-author of over twenty scientific publications and five patent applications. He has experience in carrying out R&D projects under the FENG, POIR, POIG, PBS, Demonstrator+ and Duży BON programmes. He has carried these out as the main contractor, technical manager and R&D manager.
