Roman Rogacki, Ph.D Eng.
Area Leader for Agricultural Machinery Design
A graduate of Poznań University of Technology (1998) from the Faculty of Working Machines and Vehicles, specialising in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design with a focus on agricultural machinery and equipment. In 2020, he obtained a PhD in engineering and technical sciences, specialising in mechanical engineering, from his alma mater. He has been working at the Institute since 1998, gaining experience in the Department of Sowing, Fertilisation and Plant Protection Machinery, and subsequently in the Advanced Design and Research Support Methods Team, where he carried out work related to the design and engineering analysis of the structures being developed. He served as deputy head and head of the Research Department. He is currently the Area Leader for Agricultural Machinery Design.
He is a specialist in the construction, operation and testing of agricultural machinery, primarily in the field of sowing, fertilisation and plant protection machinery. His research and scientific interests focus primarily on seed and fertiliser dispensers, both in solid and liquid form. He specialises in developing new methods and tools used in the scientific research process. He has been the lead researcher or principal investigator on over a dozen implementation and research projects co-funded by the State Committee for Scientific Research (KBN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR), the National Agency for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (PARP) and the National Centre for Research and Development (CI NOT).
