Patrycja Hochmańska-Kaniewska, Ph.D Eng.
Chief Specialist for Natural Materials Development
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Wood Technology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, where she earned her Ph.D. in 2012 with a dissertation on biocide-free wood preservation and protection systems modified with organosilicon compounds. She has four years of experience in team management and over 10 years of experience in research focused on developing sustainable materials that support the circular economy, particularly functional materials based on renewable raw materials and resin modifiers for the wood-based panels, chemical, and construction industries.
She is a co-author of scientific publications and national patents concerning, among other things, the application of nanocellulose and nanomaterials in wood composites and adhesive systems, aimed at improving mechanical properties, reducing emissions of harmful substances, and imparting new functionalities to materials, including hydrophobicity. She has carried out R&D projects in the fields of furniture manufacturing, wood-based materials technology, and modular construction. She also serves as deputy editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal “DREWNO Scientific Papers. Reports. Communications.”
