Marcin Kruś, Ph.D Eng.
Area Leader - Head of the Research Group for Modeling and Simulation
A graduate of Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management. In 2014, he obtained a PhD in high-strength thin-walled structures used in the railway industry. He is a researcher and co-author of publications and patents in the field of rail vehicle design. He has 20 years’ experience in the railway industry. He is currently the Head of the Research Group for Modeling and Simulation.
He carries out market-oriented and research and development projects in the field of analytical and simulation calculations concerning strength, gauge, motion dynamics, passive safety, and the aerodynamics and thermodynamics of rail vehicles. The section he heads also issues expert reports and technical opinions on railway accidents, component damage and proposals for remedial measures to eliminate risk factors and improve safety.
