Maksymilian Cierniewski, Ph.D Eng.

A graduate of Poznań University of Technology, where he studied Electrical Engineering, graduating in 2007. In 2022, he was awarded a PhD in Engineering and Technical Sciences in the discipline of Civil Engineering and Transport at the same university. He has been employed at the Institute since 2008, working on the development of solutions in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics and software for rail vehicles. Many of the solutions he has developed have been successfully implemented in the railway industry.

He is a specialist in electronics, propulsion systems and control systems for rail vehicles. He conducts research into modern propulsion and control systems for rail vehicles (including the practical implementation of complete TCMS systems). He specialises in developing solutions that incorporate the use of zero-emission power sources for rail vehicles.
