Area leader - Deputy Head for environmental testing
A graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Wood Technology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences. PhD in Forestry, specialising in Silviculture. With 25 years’ experience in a research and development unit conducting environmental research for the timber industry in Poland and abroad. Extensive experience in managing environmental research laboratories, coordinator of research into formaldehyde emissions, organiser of industry training courses on emission requirements in Poland and Europe, specialist in the assessment of indoor air quality, emissions of harmful substances from wood-based panels and furniture, and co-author of numerous scientific publications.
As a technical expert for the international organisations California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), he assesses the quality of wood-based panels manufactured domestically and abroad in terms of formaldehyde emissions.
For many years, he has been a member of the Polish Committee for Standardisation: Technical Committee No. 161 on Indoor Air Quality and Technical Committee No. 308 on the Assessment of the Release of Hazardous Substances from Construction Products.
Currently Deputy Head of the Laboratory for Environmental Testing, where work is carried out in the fields of air quality testing, bioenergy, and wood protection and preservation.
