Jakub Wiśniewski

A graduate of the bachelor’s and master’s programs in Materials Engineering at Poznań University of Technology, he pursued an industry-oriented Ph.D. in materials engineering from 2021 to 2025 as part of the fifth edition of the Industry-Oriented Ph.D. Program.

He began working at the Institute in 2018, developing his expertise in the field of strength and structural testing of metals and their alloys. Since 2020, he has been developing spark plasma sintering (FAST/SPS – Field Assisted Sintering Technique/Spark Plasma Sintering) technology, particularly in the areas of high-heating-rate processes, scaling of sintering processes, and pressureless synthesis of powdered materials. His research interests include superhard composite materials, UHTC ceramics, MAX phases and composites based on them, as well as high-density refractory metallic materials.
