Dominika Janiszewska-Latterini, Ph.D D.Sc. Eng.

She is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at Poznań University of Technology and the Faculty of Economics at Poznań University of Economics. She has been working at the Institute since 2011.

She has completed three international internships in research and commercialization, including one at Stanford University in the U.S. and two in Italy (CNR-IVALSA and Tuscia University).

She served as a mentor in the training and mentoring program of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission and the TOP 500 Innovators – TopMinds Association, and is currently an assistant supervisor and advisor for two applied doctoral dissertations, as well as the editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal “DREWNO Scientific Papers. Reports. Communications.” She has served as the principal investigator and/or researcher on over a dozen scientific and research projects, including the LIDER/NCBR project. She currently serves as the Polish project manager for the international PYRAGRAF project: Decentralized pyrolytic conversion of agriculture and forestry wastes towards local circular value chains and sustainability, funded by HORIZON EUROPE.

She represents Łukasiewicz – PIT in the international scientific network of the forestry and wood sector InnovaWood, the International Academy of Wood Science, and the Association of Wood-Based Panel Manufacturers in Poland.

Her scientific output to date comprises several dozen publications – including in renowned forestry journals indexed by the Journal Citation Report (JCR) – mainly in the fields of wood-based materials technology, alternative raw materials and bio-adhesives, and the chemical processing of wood for the production of value-added products. She is a co-inventor of 7 patents and 3 patent applications. She is an expert for the European Commission’s evaluation of international projects and the Advisory Group for Cluster 6 of Horizon Europe.
