Chief specialist - Deputy Head for Phytosanitary Requirements

M.Sc. in Wood Technology, a graduate of the Poznań University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Mechanical Wood Technology. He began his professional career in 2004 at the Institute of Wood Technology, within the Department of Wood Research and Applications. Active participation in a wide range of the department’s activities enabled him to gain valuable experience and develop expertise in the field of phytosanitary requirements.

Since 2013, he has served as head of the Wood Packaging Section, which oversees the phytosanitary treatment of wooden packaging materials in accordance with the international standard FAO/IPPC/ISPM 15. The team supervises domestic manufacturers of various types of wooden packaging used in international trade, such as pallets, crates, stackable boxes, drums, etc. The aim of these activities is to minimise the risk of the spread of quarantine pests via packaging.

He currently serves as Deputy Head of the Laboratory for Environmental Testing, where tasks related to the assessment of the formal, technical and organisational conditions of wooden packaging production are carried out.
