Agnieszka Witt-Żwawiak

A graduate of the Poznań University of Life Sciences (2014). She completed postgraduate studies in “Strategies for Acquiring and Managing EU Funds” (2016) and “Business Law” (2018) at the Poznań University of Economics, gaining expertise in the financing of research and development projects, business law, and the commercialization of innovations.

She has been gaining professional experience since 2015, initially at the Institute of Wood Technology in Poznań, where she worked in the Department of Research Support and International Cooperation. She was responsible for the administrative management and accounting of domestic and international research and development projects, as well as for handling contracts carried out for external clients. In subsequent years, she was part of the team responsible for commercializing the institute’s research results, participating in the processes of preparing and implementing solutions for economic applications.
Since 2022, she has been working at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology in the Commercialization Department. She is responsible for intellectual property protection and the commercialization of research results; she has experience in managing the institute’s intellectual property portfolio. She collaborates with patent attorneys and drafts agreements regarding joint ownership of rights to filed solutions and licensing agreements. She also works to ensure the sustainability of research and development projects co-financed by external funds.
He specializes in issues related to technology transfer, intellectual property protection, and the practical aspects of implementing research and development results into the economy.

What do I do?

Intellectual property management:

• I work with inventors and patent attorneys to prepare and file inventions with the Polish Patent Office,
• I handle correspondence and respond to requests from the Polish Patent Office regarding procedures for protecting filed inventions,
• I prepare and execute agreements regarding joint ownership of rights to filed inventions,
• I draft license agreements.

Projects during the implementation phase:

• • I work with project managers to prepare and submit the required reports for projects currently in the implementation phase,
  • I carry out ongoing activities required by the terms of the grant agreements to ensure the continued implementation of the projects.
