Agata Bieńczak, Ph.D Eng.

Area Leader for Food Engineering and Technology

She obtained a Master of Engineering degree in food technology from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and a PhD in engineering from Poznań University of Technology. She has been working at the Institute since 2011, where she co-founded and headed the department specialising in food engineering and technology. She has carried out numerous projects, the results of which have been implemented in industry. Among other honours, she has received the Bronze Cross of Merit for the implementation of innovative solutions in industry.

She is a specialist in food techniques and technology. Since the start of her career at the Institute, she has been involved in developing innovative solutions for the food industry, aimed at combating food waste and the waste of natural resources. She carries out projects in interdisciplinary teams, where she combines various fields of science (mechanics, electronics, technology, food engineering) with the needs of companies manufacturing machinery for the food industry, as well as food producers.
