Invention entitled ‘Tillage and sowing machine, especially for cereals and rapeseed’ (Pat.219806/P.399984)
Description:
The technology relates to a tillage and sowing machine (especially for cereals and rapeseed), finding application in agriculture for fodder and food production.
The technology relates to a tillage and sowing machine (especially for cereals and rapeseed), finding application in agriculture for fodder and food production.
The solution consists in mounting in the frame, along the line of each row, a loosening set, a rear baffle ending in a cutting bar and a ring wheel of a ring roller. The string-shaft with drum covers the entire width of the crop, while the scrapers are placed between the adjacent ring-shaft wheels and the string-shaft, while being offset from the crop strip by half the distance between the strips.
The machine eliminates the use of coulters, using passive working elements to loosen the soil instead.
The invention results in well loosened soil at a depth greater than the sowing depth, while causing weed destruction and mixing the soil with crop residues. In addition, water percolates well into the germinating seeds improving the quality of emergence during periods of drought.
Benefits:
- reducing energy demand by up to 30%,
- obtaining more stable yields,
- more efficient use of soil, water and light,
- reducing crop costs by up to 20%.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.219806 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from July 16, 2012.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
