Invention entitled ‘System for feeding silage additives to an agricultural machine, in particular a baler or baler-wrapper combination” (Pat.244652/P.438026)

Description:

The silage additive feeding system for agricultural machines, such as balers and baler-wrapper combinations, is an innovative solution that enables precise dosing of liquid additives that enhance silage quality during the formation of plant material into bales or cubes. This technology, which utilizes advanced moisture and weight sensors, allows for continuous monitoring of the condition of the compacted material, enabling the adjustment of silage additive quantities according to current needs. In this way, it not only increases the efficiency of the ensiling process but also reduces the environmental impact by avoiding the excessive use of chemicals. The system also integrates with precision farming technologies, offering data logging and yield mapping capabilities, leading to better farm management and optimized agricultural processes. This modern approach to silage production combines precision, efficiency, and sustainability, addressing contemporary challenges in agriculture.

Benefits:

  • increased silage quality – precise dosing of silage additives optimizes the fermentation process, directly improving the quality of the final silage.
  • cost savings on additives – the ability to precisely adjust the quantity of additives to the current mass and moisture content of the material allows for reduced additive consumption, contributing to cost savings.
  • environmental protection – minimizing the amount of silage additives used reduces the risk of environmental impact by preventing overuse.
  • integration with precision farming systems – the system enables the recording of data related to the silage production process, supporting precise farm decision-making, yield mapping, and better resource management.
  • enhanced silage storage life – optimal ensiling of forage material helps preserve its nutritional value and storage longevity, which is key to maintaining high-quality feed for extended periods.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of patent Pat.244652 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from June 1, 2021.
