Invention entitled ‘Strip-till machine for row crops’ (Pat.221452/P.399986)
Description:
The technology relates to a machine for inter-row strip-till (no-till technique) finding application in agriculture for environmentally friendly production of fodder and food.
The frame of the machine consists of a front and rear transverse profile, which are connected to each other by longitudinal side profiles. On the transverse profile are mounted control arms with adjustable extension of the copy wheels. At the same time, brackets are attached to the front section, to which, in turn, are mounted longitudinal troughs in the shape of an inverted “U”, which form the side covers for row crops. Between the side outer walls of the troughs are spaces for inter-row cultivation.
In addition, the machine uses a milling drum with milling discs and a beam with attached scrapers.
The machine, with its active working elements, achieves high-quality cultivation in a single pass, performs tillage operations and is resistant to clogging.
Benefits:
- loosening the top layer of soil so as to obtain a granular structure,
- creating a structure that impedes evaporation,
- mechanical destruction of weeds.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.221452 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from July 16, 2012.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
