Invention entitled ‘Seed drill for sowing seeds of various cultures, especially for sowing crop seeds’ (Pat.215509/P.395909)
Description:
The invention is a seed drill for sowing seeds of various cultures, especially for sowing crop seeds, designed to sow preset amounts of seeds per unit area with changes in the terrain and changes in the operating conditions of the drill.
Commonly used seed drills cause certain inconveniences, e.g. with a change in the operating conditions, while the seeding rate setting remains unchanged, the seeding rate values change and the quality indicators of the seeder operation change. On the other hand, under the influence of changes in the seed drill inclination on uneven ground, there are significant changes in the seed rate and changes in the index of lateral unevenness of seeding.
The operation of the machine is characterized by the fact that sensors monitor the conditions of the seeder that affect the operation of the seeding unit. These conditions include: the inclination of the seed drill on undulating terrain, the seed level in the hopper and the speed of the sowing shaft. The data received from the sensors allow to correct the operating parameters of the executive system, to correct the speed of the sowing shaft, in such a way as to ensure the constancy of the set amount of seed sowing per unit area.
Benefits:
- maintaining a constant seed sowing rate
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.215509 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from August 9, 2011.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
