Invention entitled ‘Running gear unit of road-rail vehicle’ (Pat.233395/P.417852)
Description:
The object of the invention is a running gear unit of a road-rail vehicle.
Road-rail vehicles are equipped at the front and rear with running gears containing hydraulically lowered rail assemblies in the form of a crossbeam, most often in the form of a set axle, together with guide rollers for running on rails. The road-rail vehicle running gears enable the road vehicle to run on a rail or tramway track. The purpose of the invention is the construction of a running gear of a rail road-rail vehicle, which makes it possible to operate a road-rail vehicle on tracks with different rail spacing. The essence of a running gear unit of a road-rail vehicle, which according to the invention includes a set axle, at the ends of which there are bearings fixed in the hubs of guide rollers, the set axle being connected to the control arms, is characterized by the fact that the axle has elongated pivots, each of which is connected by a keyway to a sliding sleeve encompassing it, on which there are bearings fixed in the hub of a guide roller.
Benefits:
- The beneficial effect of the invention is a simple and reliable design that allows the road-rail vehicle to operate on tracks with different rail spacing.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.233395 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 5 July 2016.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
