Invention entitled ‘Rotator, especially for working machines’ (Pat.236307/P.418530)

Description:

The object of the invention is a rotator (rotating mechanism) especially for realizing the rotational movement of two assemblies of a working machine relative to each other. The driving force comes from actuators, such as hydraulic actuators.

The essence of the solution is that the rotator is equipped with several actuators (initial, at least one intermediate and final; powered in parallel) connected in such a way that the eye of the first actuator causes rotation of the first arm of the rotator, to which the eye of the second actuator is attached, and so on.

This makes it possible to achieve large angles of rotation without the need for gears. At the same time, large and uniform torques can be achieved.

This design allows the use of a large-diameter axle that is resistant to bending moments and cutting forces.

Benefits:

  • large range of movement,
  • uniform motion with constant force throughout its range,
  • design suitable for transmission of large forces,
  • simple construction – both mechanically and hydraulically.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of patent Pat.236307 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from September 1, 2016.

Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
