Invention entitled ‘Rail running gear’ (Pat.239919/P.429303)
Description:
The object of the invention is a rail running gear system designed for installation in a road-rail vehicle.
The purpose of the invention is the design of the system, allowing its application to road-rail vehicles such as trucks, in which there are certain limitations in the space necessary for the installation of the vertical lever and the hydraulic actuator. The essence of the design of the rail running gear, which, according to the invention, includes pivotally mounted control arms, connected by their ends to a rail axle equipped with bearing rail wheels, and hydraulic actuators that fix the upper position of the rail wheels for road driving of the vehicle or their lower position for rail driving of the vehicle, is characterized by the fact that the upper ends of the control arms are pivotally fixed in brackets built between the vertical springs and the body of the drive bridge of the chassis, in addition, under the body of the drive bridge of the chassis there are brackets in which hydraulic actuators are mounted, whose piston rods are pivotally connected to the control arms, while the upper bracket and the lower bracket are attached to the body of the drive bridge by means of vertical spring stirrups.
According to another advantageous feature of the invention, hydraulic actuators are actuators equipped with pivot stubs on the cylinder bodies. According to another advantageous feature of the invention, the rail wheels are rollers. According to another advantageous feature of the invention, the rail wheels are connections of rollers with drive drums.
Benefits:
- The beneficial effects of the invention are that the running gear can work properly in cases where it is applied to road vehicles such as trucks, where there are certain limitations on the space required for the installation of the vertical lever and hydraulic motor, for example, a longitudinal steering rod or a body sway stabilizer.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.239919 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 18 March 2019.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
