Invention entitled ‘Rail-road vehicle’ (Pat.240898/P.429968)

Description:

The purpose of the invention is to obtain a construction of a road-rail vehicle for moving rail vehicles in open terrain and indoors.

The essence of the construction of a road-rail vehicle, which according to the invention includes a front pull-and-bump module and a rear pull-and-bump module with associated rail running gears, and is equipped with a control system, a pneumatic braking system for the attached rail vehicles, a hydraulic power supply system for the hydraulic actuators of the rail running gears, and the drive of the compressor supplying the pneumatic braking system, is characterized by the fact that above the running gears, on a frame attached to the roof of the road-rail vehicle, is located a pack of electric batteries for powering electric motors, which motors are mounted on the axles of the running gear guide rollers and are kinematically connected to these rollers through gears. In addition, the road-rail vehicle is equipped with an alternator, which is electrically connected to the battery pack and is connected via a gear to the power take-off (PTO) shaft. According to another advantageous form of the invention, the air reservoirs of the braking system are located on a frame attached to a frame fixed to the roof of the road-rail vehicle cab and articulated to the supports.

Benefits:

  • A favorable effect of the invention is the possibility of operating a rail-road vehicle, designed to move rail vehicles in open terrain and indoors, for example, in maintenance and repair halls, where the emission of gases harmful to the surroundings, which are a product of combustion of the internal combustion engine, is unacceptable.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of patent Pat.240898 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 20 May 2019.

Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
