Invention entitled ‘Rail axle of a rail vehicle’ (Pat.244243/P.438003)
Description:
The rail axle of a rail vehicle contains a skeleton, an asynchronous electric motor (1) with a drive shaft extending to both sides of it, claw couplings, and bearing-mounted road rollers (3) with components of a double-sided brake system. The skeleton is in the form of a lower longitudinal beam (5) and an upper longitudinal beam (6) connected at the ends by vertical discs (7). On the lower longitudinal beam (5) are mounted an asynchronous electric motor (1) and speed reducers (8), the input shafts of which are terminated by the first elements (9) of the claw couplings. The output shafts of the speed reducers (8) are located in the holes of the stubs (10), with which they are coupled by keyed connections (11). The output shafts of the electric motor (1) are terminated by the second elements (12) of the claw couplings. From the vertical disks (7) come out bushings (13), in which the inner rings of bearings (14) placed in the running rollers (3) are located. At the ends of the bushings (13) are bearing nuts (15). From the vertical discs (7) come the brackets (16) of the components of the air-fed dual-sided brake system. The brake pads of the bilateral brake system components adhere to the inner cylindrical surfaces of the travel rollers (3). Bearings (14) in the travel rollers (3) are closed by covers (18), located on the outer surfaces of the travel rollers (3).
