Invention entitled ‘Rail axle assembly of rail-road vehicle’ (Pat.241842/P.432410)
Description:
The object of the invention is the rail axle assembly of a rail-road vehicle.
The purpose of the invention is to solve the construction of a rail axle assembly of a rail-road vehicle that allows improving its running characteristics. The essence of the construction of the rail axle assembly of a rail-road vehicle, which, according to the invention, is the connection of a roller-equipped rail axle with the drive bridge of a truck chassis, containing control arms connected to hydraulic cylinders, is characterized by the fact that the rail axle is seated in the upper parts and in the lower parts forming split bearing housings, with the upper parts of the split bearing housings being fixed to the end of the control arm, while in the upper parts and in the lower parts of the split bearing housings are mounted bearings, in addition, in the ends of the control arm, next to the upper parts of the split bearing housings, brackets are fixed to which the piston rod eyes of the hydraulic actuators are attached, while the brackets, for attaching the control arms to the vehicle chassis load-bearing system, are the finials of the ends of the control arms located opposite the upper parts of the split bearing housings, besides, the connections of the stubs of the rail axles with the rolling rollers are stationary connections.
Benefits:
- A favorable effect of using the solution according to the invention is the possibility of improving the running characteristics of a rail-road vehicle due to the fact of obtaining the effect of self-guidance of the rail axle to the central position in the event of displacing the axle out of rectilinear motion, in which the longitudinal axis of the rail axle coincides with the track axis, so that the effect of disappearing axle snaking appears.
- The use of the invention makes it possible to reduce the phenomenon of adhesion of the edges of the rolling rollers to the head of the rail on sufficiently long straight sections of track – a significant effect on reducing (with respect to known solutions) the rate of wheel wear.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.234016 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from December 24, 2019.
Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
