Invention entitled ‘Rail axle assembly of rail-road vehicle’ ” (Pat.240897/P.429967)

Description:

The object of the invention is a rail axle assembly of a rail-road vehicle.

The purpose of the invention is to solve the construction of a rail-road vehicle rail axle assembly that allows the operation of a rail-road vehicle tractor, particularly involving the movement of rail vehicles both in open terrain and indoors. The essence of the design of the rail-road vehicle rail-axle assembly, which according to the invention contains running rollers mounted on pivots extending from the rail-axle, is characterized by the fact that brackets with bases of electric motors are attached to the rail-axle, in addition, on the pivot of the shaft of each electric motor is placed part one of the electromagnetic clutch, and the second part of the electromagnetic clutch is seated on the first end of the shaft, and on the second end of the shaft is seated a gear wheel interlocked with a gear ring located on the inner part of the running roller, with the shaft bearing in the sleeve of the bracket attached to the rail axle.

Benefits:

• The beneficial effect of the invention is that the solution of the design of the rail-road vehicle’s rail axle assembly allows the operation of the rail-road tractor, which involves, in particular, the movement of rail vehicles both in open terrain and indoors.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of patent Pat.240897 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 20 May 2019.

Property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
