Description:
The planting bar for planting trees with a covered root system is made up of a cylindrical fixed part and two hinged jaws, to which a seedling guide is connected. It has the form of two hinged semi-cylinders located in the upper part of the jaws. The fixed part of the planting bar is connected to the hinged jaws by a system of control arms and a drive system enabling the jaws to be opened and raised.
The described planting bar is used in mobile afforestation equipment and is part of a working unit for planting seedlings with a covered root system. It can be aggregated with specialized vehicles or tractors.
Benefits:
- possibility for the system to properly follow the ground during continuous operation – full automation of the tree planting process,
- improvement of the efficiency of the afforestation process,
- improvement of safety during afforestation.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.242910 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 18 December 2020.
Property rights to the invention are vested in: Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology and Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University in Kraków.
