Invention entitled ‘Parking brake actuator’ (P.440966)
Description:
A parking brake actuator, comprising a bolt (1), a guide sleeve (2) slidingly connected to the thrust sleeve (3), as well as an actuator piston (4) and a working spring (5, 6) located between the surfaces of a pinion (16) connected to the thrust sleeve (3) and the guide sleeve (2), with a nut (7) with a non-self-locking thread being seated on the thread of the bolt (1), forming a conical coupling (8) with the guide sleeve (2), with a ratchet mechanism including a pawl (9) and a linkage (10) attached to the stop sleeve (3). The parking brake actuator is characterized by the fact that the ratchet mechanism is a pneumatic actuator comprising a piston (11), a cylinder (12), a piston rod (9) constituting a ratchet. The cylinder (12) of this pneumatic actuator is connected to a channel (13) supplying compressed air from the compressed air supply system of the piston (4). The actuator is configured so that the pawl (9) immobilizes the gear wheel (16) under the pressure of compressed air supplied through the channel (13) to the actuator.

The technology consists ofpatent application to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland registered under No. P.440966 of 15 April 2022.
The property rights to the invention are vested 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
