Invention entitled ‘Method of transporting biomass bales. Adapter for transporting biomass bales’ (Pat.220683/P.400685)
Description:
The technology includes a method of transporting biomass bales and an adapter for moving biomass bales, which is particularly applicable on muddy unconsolidated land, in protected ecological zones, national parks and landscape parks. The technology is concerned with the implementation of works related to the inhibition of vegetation succession in wetlands and the restoration of breeding areas for vanishing bird species. Transporting mowed vegetation in the form of bales by trailers requires many trips, which translates into increased working time and damage to the land.
An adapter is used to couple the biomass bales and roll them over the muddy ground, thus reducing the adverse effects of the agricultural tractor and the biomass bales rolled behind it on the muddy ground of the protected natural area.
Benefits:
- increased work efficiency by reducing the number of trips,
- reduced land damage.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.220683 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 7 September 2012.
The property rights to the invention are vested in 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
