Invention entitled ‘Method of obtaining a fire-protective barrier layer, a method of protecting wooden material from fire, a fire-protective barrier layer, and the use of a barrier layer to manufacture component plywood’ (Pat.238146/P.430106)
Description:
The object of the invention is a method of protecting wooden material from fire, as well as a barrier layer that protects against fire, and a method of obtaining a barrier layer that protects against fire. The solution refers to a method of reducing the flammability of wooden materials with the use of polycondensation resins, especially melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) resins and flame retardants easily subjected to the leaching process. In the solution according to the invention, it is possible to use pro-environmental measures that are safe for humans and the environment, using plywood veneers saturated with readily water-soluble chemical fire retardants and a zero-waste condensation resin, which form a barrier layer against fire.
