Invention entitled ‘Machine for briquetting plant-based materials, especially uncut straw’ (Pat.222284/P.398865)
Description:
The object of the technology is a machine for briquetting materials of plant origin, especially uncut straw, intended as equipment for technological lines for the production of energy fuels from renewable energy sources. The technological solution is a briquetting unit having a casing in the form of a segmented cylindrical horizontal cylinder of circular cross-section, inside of which there are rotating rollers with external working surfaces in the shape of a truncated cone, and has a rotating initiating pin with a pivot seated in a bearing seat in the body plate located in the central axial line. This unit allows the formation, production of briquettes in both stationary and mobile equipment working directly in the fields, from material dried to the appropriate moisture content.
Benefits:
- independent production of briquettes directly in the field from various straw and grass materials;
- independent production of briquettes in stationary units on the farm;
- low power requirement;
- adjustable briquette length adapting it to the use;
- possibility of producing briquettes from various materials – straw hay grass-green plants from uncultivated land
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.222284 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 17 April 2012.
The property rights to the invention are vested in 100% in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology.
