Invention entitled ‘Brake shoe for dual-drive rail-road vehicle’ (Pat.240493/P.431241)
Description:
The object of the invention is a brake shoe for a rail-road, dual-drive vehicle.
The purpose of the invention is a brake design for reliable braking of the rail axle assembly of a rail-road, dual-drive vehicle. The essence of the design of a brake shoe for a dual-drive road-rail vehicle, comprising pneumatic cylinders, levers, brake pads and air lines supplied to the pneumatic cylinders on the piston rods side, is characterized by having flat bars attached to the top of a bracket mounted on the rail axle, whereby pneumatic cylinders are attached to the flat bars by means of bolted connections, moreover, the piston rods of the pneumatic cylinders are pivotally connected to levers pivotally attached in a horizontal bracket permanently fused to the vertical bracket, while brake pads are suspended at the lower ends of the levers.
Benefits:
A beneficial effect of the invention is that the vehicle’s pneumatic system can be used to brake the rail axle assembly of a rail-road, dual-drive vehicle.
Status of legal protection:
The technology consists of patent Pat.240493 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 23 September 2019.
