Invention entitled ‘Biomass bale adapter for coupling and rolling of bales on muddy ground, especially in national parks and landscape parks’ (Pat.216591/P.391764)

Description:

The object of the invention is a biomass bale adapter for coupling and rolling of biomass bales on muddy ground, especially in national parks and landscape parks, which makes it possible to reduce the adverse impact on the ground of the vehicle wheels as well as the biomass bales.

The essential advantage of the biomass bale adapter according to the invention is that it allows a relatively simple coupling of the adapter to the biomass bale, by attaching its frame to an axle inserted into and projecting from both sides of the biomass bale, and towing behind an agricultural tractor several adapters connected in a transport set. The frames of the adapters form guide yokes for the biomass bales that are rolled directly on the ground, and the rigid attachment of the drawbars and hitches to the frames ensures that the bales follow the movement of the tractor with sufficient precision. The large total contact area between the biomass bales and the ground ensures that the ground pressure of the trailer wheels – loaded with the weight of the trailer and the biomass bales carried on it, each weighing 700 to 1,200 kg – is many times lower.

Benefits:

  • simple and compact design,
  • easy coupling of the adapter to the biomass bale,
  • possibility to aggregate several adapters one behind the other into a transport set,
  • reduced unit ground pressure compared with conventional bale transport.

Status of legal protection:
