Invention entitled “Active system for controlling the degree of bale compaction, especially for balers and baler-wrapper combinations” (Pat.244768/P.440036)

Description:

The active system for controlling the degree of bale compaction, designed for use in balers and baler-wrapper combination machines, is an advanced technology that enables precise control over the process of forming bales of straw, hay, or haylage. The essence of the invention lies in the connection between the stationary part of the baling machine and the tilting flap, achieved through an actuator responsible for opening the baling chamber flap, a steel pawl, a pawl tension spring, a force sensor, a reaction arm, and an actuator buffer. By utilizing strain gauge sensors and hydraulic actuators, the system allows for continuous monitoring and adjustment of the pressure exerted on the material during the baling process. This ensures optimal bale density and shape, which directly impacts the quality of the final product. The system’s innovation lies in automating the compaction control process, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of agricultural machinery.

Benefits:

  • Increased bale quality and uniformity –  precise control of compaction ensures consistent bale density, which is crucial for storage and transport.
  • Optimization of the baling process – automation enables adjustment of pressing force according to the type and moisture content of the material, enhancing process efficiency.
  • Reduced material losses – accurate bale formation minimizes the risk of bales falling apart, leading to less material loss.
  • Improved operational safety – the system monitors pressing force in real time, preventing machine overloads, which enhances safety during operation.
  • Increased work efficiency – the ability to precisely control the bale formation process results in improved operational efficiency, allowing for faster processing of larger quantities of material.

Status of legal protection:

The technology consists of patent Pat.244768 granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in force from 30 December 2021.
