When science meets practice. Summary of the 25th Jubilee Scientific Conference ROL-EKO

The history of Scientific Conference ROL-EKO began modestly – with a small meeting at what was then the Industrial Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Poznań. No one expected that this year would mark its 25^th anniversary.

The jubilee edition, held on October 22-23 this year, brought together over 70 representatives of science and business, who discussed the future of precision agriculture.

“ROL-EKO has always combined two worlds: science and practice. It is here that people who can turn research results into concrete solutions meet those who can show scientists what problems really need to be solved,” said Rafał Cichy, Director of the Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology, opening the conference.

Participants enjoyed a rich program consisting of plenary lectures, discussion panels, paper sessions, and poster sessions.

The speakers talked about organic food, robotization, modern technologies, innovative solutions, and changes introduced by the new machinery regulation.

During ROL-EKO, an application for hazard analysis and risk assessments of machines, developed at Łukasiewicz – PIT as a part of a research and development project, had its premiere.

The conference will be closed by Dariusz Garbiec, Deputy Director of Research at Łukasiewicz – PIT, inviting participants to the next edition of the event, which will take place in two years.
