Physical and mechanical testing of wood materials and products

We study the physical and mechanical properties of wood materials and products. As part of these tests, we determine strength, elasticity, hardness, thermal properties, among others. These tests are useful in the processes of approval for placing on the market and for use, as well as in determining the performance characteristics of products required by customers.

Physical and mechanical testing of wood materials and products - our offer:

  • Testing of strength characteristics, such as strength and modulus of elasticity in bending, tension and compression, and testing of basic physical characteristics other than mechanical, such as equivalent moisture content, swelling, water absorption, dimensional stability, including structural wood, particleboard, plywood, e.g. PN-EN 408+A1:2012; PN-EN 310:1994; ISO 13061-2:2014.

Tests and studies:

  • tensile strength of pallet joints – PN-EN 13698-1:2005;
  • impact resistance, load capacity and stiffness at bending, load capacity and stiffness at stacking – PN-EN ISO 8611-1:2022-06;
  • technical characteristics of packaging components – according to RT EPAL

Determination of physical and mechanical characteristics, such as:

  • hardness – PN-EN ISO 2439:2010
  • elasticity – PN-EN ISO 8307:2018-09
  • resistance to mechanical fatigue under repeated compression – PN-EN ISO 3385:2014-09 and IOS-MAT-0076:2021

Testing of sports surfaces, including:

  • slipperiness – PN-EN 13036-4:2011
  • shock absorption – PN-EN 14808:2006
  • ball rebound height – PN-EN 12235:2014-02
  • rolling load resistance – PN-EN 1569:2020-11
  • and others
  • compressive or tensile shear strength – PN-EN 205:2016-09, PN-EN 302-1:2013-06 and PN-EN ISO 17178:2020-10
  • resistance to delamination of adhesive joints – PN-EN 14080:2013-07, CEN/TS 13307-2:2009

Testing of metal fasteners including the ability to hold nails, screws, staples, etc., according to PN-EN 1382:2016-03.
