Laboratory of identification technologies

We are a unique establishment in Europe, focused on the full spectrum of identification technologies including research and implementation of automatic identification techniques.

  • Vision techniques, including one and two-dimensional barcodes.
  • Radio techniques – passive and active RFID.
  • Video techniques – image analysis.

We also combine the above-mentioned technologies in effective automatic identification systems, taking into account machine learning and artificial intelligence methods. We investigate, advise and verify modern identification technologies in the scope of AIDC and ICT, which are essential in logistics.

Identification technologies - our offer:

The offer of testing covers several areas:

  • barcode quality verification,
  • parameter verification of RFID tags – both static and dynamic,
  • verification of parameters of RFID antennas, readers and scanners,
  • selection of components for AIDC and ADC systems, integration with WMS and ERP systems, development of label printing and tag encoding solutions and item identification software,
  • research and development of new technologies, i.e. new communication protocols (DASH7), hardware and software platforms for object localization (GPS, GSM, DASH7, BLE), localization algorithms and systems (object localization).

Our interdisciplinary team of electronics, computer science, mechanical and telecommunications engineers performs a range of services.

  • electronic circuit design,
  • development of embedded software, as well as web, desktop and mobile applications that complement the functionality of automatic identification systems and electronic circuits,
  • development of systems using artificial intelligence, neural networks and image analysis,
  • design and development of documentation of elements for the technical infrastructure of automatic identification systems,
  • development of algorithms for identification technologies,
  • CAD/CAM design – technical implementation of projects in the following areas: prototyping and CAD design, use of manufacturing technologies; material processing, casting of plastics; construction of supporting and functional structures of devices, preparation of solution concepts, modeling/design in CAD, preparation of technical documentation, creation and testing of prototypes.

We are active in the development and research of LPWAN systems – low-power sensor networks. Our activities cover several areas:

  • development of innovative sensory systems,
  • selection, research and implementation of systems for monitoring environmental conditions,
  • track & trace systems,
  • real-time location systems (RTLS), both outdoor and indoor,
  • IoT (Internet of Things) systems .
WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT?
  • Expert interdisciplinary knowledge combined with practical experience, gained during the implementation of a variety of projects in many industries.
  • Independent consulting in the selection of appropriate technologies and solutions.
  • Innovative solutions in the field of automatic identification systems.
  • Knowledge of the supplier market.
  • The Laboratory of Identification Technologies is a founding member of the European EPC Business Lab Network and the DASH7 Alliance consortium.
PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE
  • EtLog – for the generation and printing of logistics and packaging labels compliant with GS1 standards and the requirements of retail chains and the Ministry of National Defence.
  • ShadowCat – for the rapid inventory of fixed assets based on automatic identification techniques (barcodes and/or RFID).
  • EPCIS – a cloud-based, scalable, event-based database for data collection and processing in open supply chains compliant with the GS1 standard – certified for security and performance.
