Poznan: The capital of Industry 4.0

At the end of May and the beginning of June, a series of industrial trade fairs took place at the Poznań International Fair: ITM Industry Europe, MODERNLOG – Trande Fair og Logistics, Transport and Storage, and SUBCONTRACTING – Industrial Subcontracting Exhibition. Łukasiewicz – Poznan Institute of Technology was present at these events.

Five institutes presented themselves at the Łukasiewicz Research Network stand. In addition to Łukasiewicz – PIT, the event was attended by representatives of Łukasiewicz – Krakow Institute of Technology, Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Centre for Technology Development, Łukasiewicz – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP, Łukasiewicz – Tele and Radio Research Institute and Industry Contact Point Industry 4.0.

Our Institute presented the offer of the Centre for Modern Mobility, the Centre for Digital Transformation, the AgrifoodTEF project and a mock-up of an unmanned meter store, which was created in cooperation with Enea Operator Sp.z.o.o.

The MODERNLOG fair was accompanied by the ‘Smart Warehouse’ conference, the programme of which was overseen by Marta Cudziło, deputy director of the Centre for Modern Mobility. She also chaired a panel entitled “Fulfillment e-commerce – growing needs, new challenges”. Her interlocutors were Sebastian Kaczmarski (IKEA), Adam Sobolewski (Magna Valor), Łukasz Wysokiński (InPost), Patryk Angelard (Point of View) and Cezary Pieczetowski (Amazon).
