BIO_LUB – Innovative lubricants for use in offshore wind power plants

Project co-financed by the state budget. Project co-financed by a specific grant from the President of the Łukasiewicz Centre
Acronym: BIO_LUB
Type: R&D
Grant: PLN 44 977.50
Total value: PLN 49 975.00
Start date: 01.09.2023
Project completion date: 31.12.2023
Project objectives:
The aim of the project is to develop innovative lubricants, both lubricating oils and plastic greases, for use in offshore wind power plants, particularly for the lubrication of turbines used in wind energy systems.
Consortium members:
- Łukasiewicz – Institute for Sustainable Technologies (Project leader),
- Łukasiewicz – Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis “Blachownia”
- Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology
Results:
The research project will result in a group of innovative lubricants providing optimum protection and performance in a wide range of environmental conditions, at high and low temperatures and in corrosive and variable humidity conditions. The added value of the project will be selected additive packages for the developed lubricants to improve lubricating, thermooxidising and anticorrosive properties.
