In June, Poznań became the capital of Industry 4.0. The Poznań International Fair hosted several concurrent events: ITM Industry Europe, MODERNLOG Logistics, Storage and Transport Fair, European Science Fair, and SUBCONTRACTING Industrial Cooperation Fair. Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology took part in the event.

European Science Fair – an initiative that brings together the worlds of science, innovation, and business

The first edition of the European Science Fair took place during the ITM fair. The event was attended by Hubert Cichocki, President of Łukasiewicz Research Network, Rafał Cichy, Director of Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology, and Anna Kubica, Deputy Director for Operations and Commercialisation. They visited the Łukasiewicz Research Network stand, where experts familiarised visitors with Łukasiewicz’s activities.

Hubert Cichocki was also one of the panellists during the debate “Science and the economy – Strategic implementations in practice: research in the service of state security and resilience”.

The European Science Fair was created to promote the achievements of Polish research institutes, universities, technology start-ups, and other organisations working for the development of science and technology. The event was international in nature and coincided with Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Factory of the Future – the fascinating world of tomorrow’s industry

As part of ITM Industry Europe, DBR77 prepared a special zone – the Factory of the Future. Magdalena Morze from the Centre for Digital Transformation appeared on the stage, participating in the expert panel “Human-Robot Interaction vs Lights-Out Manufacturing – two paths to automation.”

Łukasiewicz – PIT also received the Partner of the Year 2025 award from DBR77, which was accepted by Marcin Lijewski from the Centre for Sustainable Economy. As part of our cooperation with the company, we responded to technological challenges posed by entrepreneurs on the DBR77 platform.

Smart Warehouse conference under the slogan ‘Logistics is the heart of e-commerce’

At the Smart Warehouse conference, which took place as part of the MODERNLOG trade fair, the report “Where are you going, logistics? Trends, challenges, and opportunities for 2025” was premiered, which Łukasiewicz – PIT prepared together with Manpower.

It includes information on technologies that will have the strongest impact on the development of logistics, the most sought-after skills on the labour market, and the extent to which companies are ready to implement solutions in the areas of technology, ESG, and digitalisation. It is available for download on the Manpower Group website.

As part of the conference, Marta Cudziło, Deputy Director of the Centre for Modern Mobility, also led a panel discussion entitled “#fulfilment – growing needs, new challenges.”
