An international, English-language, peer-reviewed scientific journal published since 2003, Drewno is released biannually under an Open Access license (CC-BY 4.0).
The journal publishes original results of innovative basic and applied research on technological, technical, economic, and environmental issues relevant to science and wood-based industries. The topics covered by the published texts encompass the entire field of wood sciences, including wood processing, its applications, and the production of composites from conventional and alternative lignocellulosic raw materials.
The biannual journal is indexed in databases such as Scopus and Science Citation Index Expanded. As the only scientific journal in Poland devoted to forestry, Drewno has a calculated Journal Impact Factor. In the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in 2021 Drewno was awarded 100 points and assigned to the following scientific disciplines: archaeology, architecture and urban planning, chemical engineering, civil engineering and transport, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, forestry, agriculture and horticulture, and chemical sciences.
